Fundación PROhumana: Recycla Chile Gana Premio Fundación PROhumana Responsabilidad Social 2006
En la categoría pequeña y mediana empresa, Recycla fue reconocida por realizar un trabajo de excelencia con las personas que laboran en la planta de reciclaje y el trabajo social que implica instaurar el concepto de basura electrónica en nuestro país en el marco de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial.
Santiago, mayo de 2007.- Fundación PROhumana entregó, por cuarto año consecutivo, los resultados del Premio Fundación PROhumana Responsabilidad Social 2006, el cual distingue a empresas, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y reparticiones estatales, que demuestren una gestión innovadora, creativa y ejemplar dentro del marco de la Responsabilidad Social.
En este contexto, y tras un profundo proceso de evaluación por parte del equipo de profesionales de Fundación PROhumana, y de un intenso debate protagonizado por el jurado multidisciplinario del Premio, se decidió destacar a RECYCLA Chile, en la categoría pequeña y mediana empresa, por el constante trabajo junto a sus empleados, varios de los cuales tienen una nueva oportunidad laboral al ser personas socialmente marginadas.
Esta iniciativa cuenta con la participación de un interesante jurado multisectorial, el cual decide finalmente quiénes son las instituciones ganadoras. Para esta versión del Premio, el jurado estuvo compuesto por: Carlos Urenda, Gerente de Asuntos Corporativos, Colbún S.A; Claudio Orrego, Alcalde Ilustre Municipalidad de Peñalolén; Consuelo Gazmuri, Miembra del Consejo Nacional de Certificación de la Calidad de la Gestión Escolar; Cristina Bitar, Directora Ejecutiva, Hill & Knolwton Captiva; Edgardo Riveros, Subsecretario de la Presidencia; Fabio Valdés, Director de múltiples empresas; Felipe Larraín, Profesor titular del Instituto de Economía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; Alfredo Ovalle, Presidente CPC; José Joaquín Brunner, Director Programa de Educación, Fundación Chile; Jorge Awad, Presidente LAN Airlines; José Weinstein, Jefe de Área de Educación, Ex Ministro de Cultura; Pedro Güell, Coordinador Responsable del Informe de Desarrollo Humano, PNUD-Chile; Koldo Echevarría, Representante del BID en Chile; Laura Novoa, Abogada; Margarita María Errázuriz, Presidente Comunidad Mujer; María Emilia Correa, Vicepresidenta de Responsabilidad Social y Ambiental, Grupo Nueva; Roberto Edwards, Presidente Fundación América; y Rodrigo Egaña, Director campus Santiago, Universidad Federico Santa María.
Respecto de los ganadores del Premio Fundación PROhumana Responsabilidad Social 2006, Soledad Teixidó, presidenta de Fundación PROhumana, comentó que "es muy gratificante ver que los participantes están comprometidos y trabajando por la Responsabilidad Social, pero más emocionante aún es tener la posibilidad de reconocer esos valores que están detrás de una institución y el actuar que estas organizaciones poseen en las diversas esferas de la RS".
Por su parte, Fernando Nilo, Gerente General de RECYCLA Chile, agradeció el premio otorgado ya que éste es un reconocimiento al trabajo que realizan las pequeñas y medianas empresas del país. "Este premio significa que aunque sea difícil, en Chile se pueden realizar emprendimientos exitosos", dijo Nilo.

El sector lácteo de Nicaragua se prepara para realizar, mañana jueves en Managua, el primer encuentro del sector lácteo sobre la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE), con la participación de 30 empresarios de la pequeña, mediana y gran industria láctea, afiliada a la Cámara Nicaragüense del Sector Lácteo (Canislac).
"El crecimiento constante en las exportaciones de productos lácteos en los últimos años ha convertido al sector lácteo en un punto de referencia que demuestra el desarrollo económico de nuestro país", refirió Gloria Corrales, directora ejecutiva de Canislac.
Destacó que entre enero y marzo del 2007 las exportaciones de lácteos se incrementaron en un 75 por ciento en relación con el mismo período en 2006, al sumar en el trimestre pasado 22 millones de dólares.
Este comportamiento, a juicio de Canislac, ha motivado que las industrias del sector, incluyendo a la pequeña, mediana y gran empresa, establezcan paulatinamente programas que fomenten la producción de leche con calidad; diseñen estrategias para la mejora en los procesos productivos en todos los eslabones de la cadena, con el fin de incrementar su producción, las exportaciones y hacer uso de las cuotas negociadas en los diferentes Tratados de Libre Comercio, además de brindar un producto de calidad en nuestro mercado local".
NUEVAS FORMAs DE NEGOCIAR
Sin embargo, estos cambios deben ser acompañados con nuevas formas de hacer negocio, debido a lo cual Canislac y la Unión Nicaragüense para la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (uniRSE), en colaboración con el Servicio Holandés de Cooperación al Desarrollo (SNV), han juntado esfuerzos para realizar el primer encuentro de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial.
CAMBIO DE ACTITUD
"Es importante en este mundo con nuevas posibilidades económicas cambiar profundamente la actitud empresarial. No basta sólo aumentar la producción del sector lácteo", sostuvo la empresaria.
Por ello destacó, en un informe enviado a LA PRENSA, que "es necesario definir mejor su lugar y sus responsabilidades dentro de la economía nacional y frente a sus proveedores y sus clientes, pero también en relación con sus propios colaboradores, las comunidades donde están situados y con la sociedad y el medio ambiente".
La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial es un instrumento para mejorar la competitividad de las empresas, mejorar su imagen hacia instituciones financieras, proveedores, consumidores y para alcanzar un crecimiento socioeconómico mejor balanceado en Nicaragua.
ESTABLECER NUEVAS ALIANZAS
En ese primer encuentro se destacará la necesidad de formar dentro del concepto de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial, nuevas alianzas empresariales armando lo que se llama pirámide: población con ingresos inferiores a 3,000 dólares al año.
Estas alianzas de ganar-ganar, llamadas Negocios Inclusivos, incorporan ciudadanos de menores recursos en la cadena de valor, con el fin de que aumenten sus ingresos.
Para compartir con la industria láctea el concepto de la Responsabilidad Empresarial y los Negocios Inclusivos, su importancia y mecanismos de operación como la Feria a la Inversa, se contará con la presencia de expertos en el tema como Matthias Dietrich, director ejecutivo de uniRSE; Julio Castillo, asesor senior en Acceso a Mercados; Joel Alcocer, asesor senior en Desarrollo Económico y Joost Teuben, asesor en Competitividad Agroindustrial.
"El evento se considera como un primer intercambio de opiniones para que los participantes reconozcan la importancia de modelos empresariales como la RSE y los Negocios Inclusivos para un crecimiento socioeconómico equitativo", detalló Canislac.
Este primer encuentro del sector lácteo sobre la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial se realizará en el Seminole Plaza Hotel, en Managua.
La ganadería es una de las principales actividades económicas de Nicaragua.
